Dr. Mohamed Al-Marhoon is the Head of Urology and Senior Consultant Urological Surgeon at Sultan Qaboos University Hospital, and the Chairman of Surgery Research Committee. He is the President of Oman Urology Society, Member of Board of Directors for Arab Association of Urology, and Ambassador of Oman for the international U-Merge collaboration and the International Alliance of Urolithiasis (IAU). Dr. Al-Marhoon holds the following degrees: BSc (Sultan Qaboos University, Oman) in 1991; MD (Sultan Qaboos University, Oman) in 1994; PhD (University of Leeds, UK) in 2003; MRCSEd (The Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh, UK) in 2005; Fellowship of Urology (Mansoura University, Egypt) in 2009; and Diploma of Laparoscopic Surgery (University of Strasbourg, France) in 2010. His subspecialty interest is in reconstructive urological surgery, endourology, stone diseases and male infertility.
